Is there something that you love to do that you had to scale back on because youโre pregnant? For me, it was swimming in the ocean. Thereโs just something about the saltwater that made my body and expanding skin feel so good. The buoyant feeling of floating over a wave just before it breaks that would just make me feel weightless.
I know for a lot of mamas who are used to surfing, skating, or body surfing--you have to take a break from something that makes you feel like yourself. When I met Cait, I knew she was a beach and sun lover and her husband was a surfer. It was clear they loved the ocean as much as I did.
I had this idea sparked by a surfboard silhouette and Iโm so glad we were able to bring it to life. I always want to have a creative vision, but itโs my mamas that really bring it to life. What I hope for my clients is that their maternity photos feel like them--not some stuffy done up version of themselves.
To me these were the perfect representation of the love that Caitlyn and Spencer felt for each other and their growing baby boy. And guess what they named their sweet boy? Wave. swoonnnnn. Check out some of the best from their sunset maternity session.
