This cold weather just makes me want to snuggle up into something fluffy. This maternity announcement photoshoot in Orange County is exactly how I do winter— I want to be in a big snuggly jacket, but my feet also need to be in the ocean. I know we’re pretty spoiled in the OC, spending cold days at the beach still. Making winter photoshoots some of my favorites. We live in absolute paradise here.
Katelyn and Daniel knew they wanted to announce their little boy on the way with some family photos that also star their other baby--their little fur baby. This worked out because I am always up for sibling shots. Yes, your fur babies are considered sibling shots. So great right?! :)
I also so loved how Katelyn and Daniel shared their journey with IVF on her instagram. It’s such a painful journey - emotionally, mentally, not to mention physically too. It’s such a regular journey that moms of all backgrounds are on. It can also be hard to talk about publicly. I’m so glad that she is brave enough to share her story because I know God is using her as a vessel to help support and heal other mamas in similar situations. She is a blessing to have as a friend.
I absolutely think the love between Katelyn and Daniel is visibly pouring into their growing bun. Being able to see that love is one thing but capturing it is even sweeter. Yes, I can artistically plan the location, the shoot, the angles, the lighting, but the love--that’s all you. I’m simply blessed to be a witness and a documentarian to that.
