If you read my blog post about this family’s maternity photos in Orange County, then you already know how much I love the Grahams! You may have read the blog post “Seal Beach Maternity Photos” and seen one of sweet mama Whitney’s photos on that page, too. Doing their maternity photoshoot was such a pleasure, that I was so ecstatic to be asked to also shoot their newborn photos.
I felt like getting to know Whitney prior to their maternity session helped us to create a deeper personal connection, so by the time we met, it felt like a friend snapping candid photos.
During her maternity photoshoot session, I also got to know her family. Her husband, Chris--the patient, easy--going husband, her oldest Wallace--the sweetheart who was meant to be a big sister to little brothers, and sweet Archy--shy, sweet and attached to Daddy.
So you can only imagine how excited I was to meet little Desi. Sweet little Desi with the wide-open curious eyes. With the jammies that were still wee bit loose. And oh the smell. I’ll never get over that sweet smell. If only I could capture that amazing smell in those newborn photos!
We simply embraced the chaos of having three kiddos. The love between Whitney and Chris is evident. Their sweetness poured out through their children. At one point I overheard Wallace say to her mom, “Mom stop right there! I can’t let you take another step without hugging you!” So sweet, right?
I genuinely feel as though I’m capturing love love love with this family. I love the still moments. I love the funny jumping on the bed moments. Photographing those precious moments is my favorite part of the job! Which are your favorite moments with your family?
